Laboratory for Machine Tools & Manufacturing Processes-Introduction

The Laboratory for Machine Tools & Manufacturing Processes (LMT&MP) belongs to the Construction Sector of the Mechanical Engineering Department, at the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaly (TEI Thessaly), Greece. It’s educational and research activities cover the following fields:

• Manufacturing Processes (primary forming, deforming, material removal, joining, additive manufacturing, advanced manufacturing processes)
• CNC Machine Tools, Robots, Flexible Manufacturing Systems and Digital Manufacturing
• Computer Aided Design / Manufacturing / Planning / Engineering
• Process Optimization using Design of Experiments and Artificial Neural Networks
  
• Lean Manufacturing (JIT, Cell production, Kaizen, TQM, Simultaneous Engineering)

LMT&MP is under the technical coordination of the Professor John Kechagias.
